Description

Essential information 

Our tour lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour. The first 35-40 minutes takes place outside, so please remember to bring a bottle of water if it’s a hot day. Chilled water is available throughout the Center for free. If you feel unwell or faint at any point throughout your tour, please tell our staff immediately. 

Tours are $10 per person. Children under 10 years old go free.

  • Orientation: Start with a 10-minute introduction on Cambodia’s landmine and UXO history, current demining efforts, and challenges.
  • Control Point Meeting: Meet your guide at our mockup Control Point for insights into working in a minefield, including safety protocols and our systematic approach.
  • Mock Minefield: Discover different types of landmines and UXOs, their risks, and the process of safe removal.
  • Scent-Detection Rats: Meet a specially trained rat, learn about their role in detecting explosives, and watch a live demonstration of a rat at work.
  • Hands-On Encounter: Get the chance to hold one of our furry heroes!
  • Video Room: End with a short film showing the impact of demining efforts on Cambodian communities.
  • FFE Display: View free-from-explosive (FFE) landmines and UXOs up close, gaining insight into their design and dangers.
  • Cafe and Shop: Enjoy a Khmer-style coffee, fresh juice, or smoothie at our cafe, and browse ethically sourced, locally-made merchandise before heading back into town.

Tickets are for specific timeslots and are non-transferrable. Please only book the ticket for the slot you plan to arrive for. Regretfully we cannot refund online tickets within 24 hours of the tour start time
